Kitchen

Plates, wrapped singly, stand upright. Glasses sit in bubble wrap between dividers. Steel utensils and pressure cookers nest inside each other to save space. Ghee, oil and pickle jars are sealed apart from everything else, so a leak stays contained.

That same corrugated jacket goes on the fridge. Dry it out properly first, though. A dripping fridge spoils its own wrapping.

Living room

Sofas go under sheets and stretch film. The TV rides in a padded carton. Before anyone unplugs it, take a quick photo of the wires behind the TV and set-top box, because it saves an irritating evening with the remote.

Study, kids’ rooms, balcony

Books are packed in small cartons that one person can lift. School things are marked to come out first. Plant pots get drained and wedged where they can’t tip.

A numbered list your family can tick off

Every packed piece carries the Aone job code plus a number of its own, such as "#2", "#14" or "#22". You keep the list. When the truck is unloaded, one family member stands at the door ticking numbers as things come in. Simple. And it works.

A full plan covers packing, dismantling, loading, the drive, unloading, unpacking, refitting beds and tables, and clearing away empty cartons. AC installation and similar work needs a technician, so mention it at booking and we’ll schedule around it.

Smaller plans work too. Lots of families pack their own clothes and books and hand us only the furniture, fridge and glassware.

Size of the home, and how much of it you’re taking. Distance. How much packing you leave to us. The floor, the lift and how far the truck stands from your door. Heavy pieces like an old steel almirah or a treadmill. Add-ons such as a car or storage. And the date, since weekends and month-ends fill early.
